2022 Ankh Books Recap…
2022 was a transformative year at Ankh Antiquarian Books.
After two years of global lockdowns, Jennifer Jaeger and her daughter Laura embraced the opportunity to travel and expand their horizons.
Laura’s three-month trip to American and mainly the New York Book Fair, run by the ABAA, was a resounding success. She even earned a feature in the New York Times!
The books she acquired are now part of Ankh’s collection and were showcased at the ANZAAB Rare Book Fair 2022 in Melbourne, alongside rare treasures like works by David Roberts.
The year ended with exciting growth and plans for the future! Here is the original blog post
Hi and welcome to the Ankh Antiquarian Books Blog Page.
My name is Jennifer Jaeger and along with my daughter and business partner Laura we run our business. After the last two years in Melbourne where we basically were stuck at home in the covid lockdowns, like every-one else in the world, this year we decided to travel.
Laura has just returned home from an almost three-month trip, where she promoted Ankh Books very successfully. The main reason for the trip was to attend the New York Book fair run by the ABAA.
You know what old Frankie said, “if you make it there you make it anywhere”, well Laura did very well.
She was written up in the New York Times no less!
The books she bought are just beautiful and I hope of great interest to our clients.
They will be featured in the up-coming ANZAAB Rare Book Fair at Wilson Hall, Melbourne University on July 7th -9th 2022. Booksellers from all around the world as well as Australia and New Zealand will be coming along with some amazing books, well worth a visit.
At the moment I’m super busy writing up the catalogue for the fair, This year, we are thrilled to spotlight the work of David Roberts, featuring a captivating selection of pages from his renowned book Egypt and the Holy Land. In addition, we will showcase some of his other works, as well as a rare and fascinating postcard personally written by him!
We are thrilled and so excited for what the rare book world has to offer in the year to come. See you at the fair.
